WHAT RAS OFFERS
| |
|
RAS is an engineering consulting firm that sells Electro-Mechanical Engineering and physical equipment and products on a project by project basis since 1978. |
THE MOST EFFECTIVE ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT | A previous RAS engineer that is currently a Manufacturing Engineering Manager was introducing me to his Vice President and he said that he has never seen anyone take a concept to actual hardware as effectively as RAS while he was working for RAS and also at all other compainies he has worked at in the LAST 10 YEARS. You can call him yourself. This is the highest complement RAS could receive from a previous employee. |
AN | Engineering is a process and at RAS this process has been strictly adhered to over the last 22 years (see Past Projects). As a part of this process RAS has developed its own CAD procedures that each new engineer must follow. Project information is not lost from one engineer to the other. |
EXPERIENCE |
RAS has a tremendous experience base and history. Also
the history of of its past projects is in its data base with estimated
completion times vs actual completion times and associated costs.
|
INNOVATION | Innovation is what engineering is all about. The tougher the challenge, the more the innovative juices get flowing. Take a look at "Past Projects" |
RESULTS | If it doesn't work, you don't pay. RAS prides itself in having an unbroken string of successful projects. RAS is a gambler and will bet on a successful outcome with respect to achieving a specific object in a certain period of time versus financial reward. |
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
| Intellectual property is a typical result of innovation. Almost all projects involve the generation of intellectual property (IP) that result in patent applications or trade secret information. This IP can add considerable value to the corporate portfolio. RAS is classified as an "inventor for hire". |
TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY | This is where the rubber meets the road. This is the single most important plan that will determine the success or not success of a new technology. Technical risk assessment is a large part of the implementation strategy plan. Never fly up a box canyon with no where to go is an RAS guideline. Also you must know what you don't know. |
A
TECHNOLOGY NETWORK IN SILICON VALLEY |
When you have lived some where all of your life and been
constantly involved in technology development guess what. You tend to
meet a lot of good people along the way. As a friend of mine (a founder
of Quantum) once said "Know How or Know Who" and RAS does. He
hit it right on the head.
